the whole concept of the "animated family sitcom" is so deeply cynical now it might as well come as slop in a bucket. The worst thing about Good Times is that it actually has its own visual identity and isn't just chasing an aesthetic trend like family guy clones or bob's burgers clones or R&M clones; and that identity hates humanity and everything good about life.

There are a bunch of shots in there where characters are just snapping between key frames with literally nothing in between.

I actually think the art direction is pretty good, the backgrounds and use of color remind me a lot of the Black Dynamite series and looking it up the creator of that show apparently worked on this so that makes sense. but seeing it in motion you can really tell Netflix cut as many corners as possible
