Ironically enough, Sunday was a spectacular, bright, sunny day on which I trudged through knee-deep snow in moon boots to get from the JW Marriott to Verizon Center and it was so, so worth it. e- One weird quirk about the broadcast is the change in color analysts for the third(?) period. Eddie Olczyk had to get back to Chicago for some sort of honor (and might have been trying to beat the weather out), so Mike Milbury joins Doc and Pierre for the finish. I didn't realize until this summer (in part because they were so rare and because I never used one in EA NHL games) that offer sheets had to be agreed to be the player. (I.e., Brayden Point isn't stuck going to another team if he doesn't want to). I thought, given the RFA status of the player, it was more of a hostile takeover where the team losing the player had the choice of either a) matching and signing the player or b) being compensated for the loss with the draft picks on the salary schedule.
