Some say that his politics are terrifying, and that he once punched a horse to the ground...

Holy poo poo I just finished this game today, uchikoshi still got it! I can't imagine anyone who enjoyed any of his prior works wouldn't enjoy this. It has exactly more to expect and I appreciate it's a little more grounded this time.

After paying $40 or less for each of his prior games it was a little painful paying full price for AI but it's worth it and I reassure myself that every bit of full price sales will help him get to his next game.

Both AI and Disco Elysium star trash detectives too.

And ghost trick phantom detective features a detective who wakes up in trash and deadly premonition features a detective that'll smell like trash (cause almost nobody does regular cleaning).

Seems like it's trash+detective makes for a good story!

I was absolutely convinced that Aiba was using Wadjet to generate the parallel worlds we were playing through, and used this to generate a million Date corpses every time she analyzed a situation to figure out the one reality where Date survives. It fits in too well with the Nonary games, and c'mon how else could you get Date to shoot a pipe he just threw through the air in the right way to hit So? This would also explain the coalescing memories, at least partially.

And then it didn't happen.

I was absolutely expecting that the entire game takes place in date's somnium and that would explain all the crazy stuff like super power 12 year old or the amazing accuracy/planning of aiba or the hyper porn reflexes.

It would have been cool that you're using all the parallel timeliness to rebuild the actual memories of the case, then you get out from the somnium and get the real killer.
