So I'm an idiot and just realized why Aiba says "I'm home" and Date says "Welcome back" in the middle of the grand finale dance. That's a "perfectly ordinary" part of what it means to be family according to Mizuki earlier in the game.

It’s kind of embarrassing how many times I’ve re-watched the ending dance number. It’s just the worst on so many levels but I loved it anyway.
