Okay I can sort of see how they need you to have a child as the canon ending or whatever because the whole point of the animus in those game is that you're viewing the memories of distant ancestors, and that doesn't work if the bloodline ended. But there's probably a ton of ways to do it up to and including "it's just loving magic" without forcing you to marry some rando and gently caress with your game experience that much.

There's not an exact moment for me as I just never believed the stories to begin with, but I remember the first time I was ready admit it. I distinctly remember a conversation with some friends when I was 9 where the subject came up and there was almost a harmonic gasp among my group of friends as I said that our bible is bullshit, it seemed weird to them to doubt what we learned in bible class but to just accept as truth what the learned in other classes. "But aren't you Jewish?" they said, and when I asked them what they think that means they didn't really know what to say and we went to play soccer.

At worst, religions only exist to keep certain people in power.
At best, religions only exist because humans are loving poo poo by default and if you don't threaten them with the wrath of god they won't behave well.

I don't know how you can look at this world and think that people are good or that there's a god watching over people, it doesn't even make a little bit of sense to me.

Also didn't Animal Crossing change it's release date at least once?

So even though people poo poo on No Man's Sky (and rightfully so when it was originally released), I've been dealing with some family health issues recently (not coronavirus related thankfully (pre-emptive knock on wood here)), and I have to say that the chill "explore, get resources, build stuff" vibe of the game has been super helpful in allowing me a bit of distraction for a few hours here and there. I started exploring a planet that is basically a lush temperate world that looks like a picturesque African plains area (only with actual oceans and lakes around it). I plan on staying there for a good while considering how I started out on "acid rain world" in the same system, and the only other world was "dead airless planet" which has lots of mineral resources but is also kinda depressing to explore (so I don't stay on there for any longer than I need to).

No Man's sky has been steadily improving for years but I heard something recently that they put in a patch that changed everyone's existing planets, so like everyone who found and made bases on what they thought was cool looking planets, now they're all boring.

I haven't heard anything about it since then if they reverted it or something but seeing them still piss people off with that game years in just seems real sad.

I dreamed about going to the moon in a Space-X rocket with a bunch of people and we made a water landing in Florida and I swam to the surface but instead of going where I was supposed to go I just wandered the streets and somehow the 1 shop that Elon Musk is trying to buy next to their facility that won't sell was there so I went inside and talked to the old man who owns it until he went to sleep then I spent the night walking around decently busy streets until the sun was coming up and I went in to a church inside which it was the 80s, and when I went out the back door I ended up in an alley where some dude was playing with a basketball but also shooting a pistol, I wanted to chat so I offered him a smoke and he put the gun away and refused the smoke but then came close to me and pulled out a knife and then I woke up.

Edit: If you're talking about his music sounding miserable I've only heard a few songs like Better Now, Rockstar, Congratulations so I must have missed the miserable stuff. I guess his entire style is chill enough that I could see that.

What I know is that for a year or two he was making the rounds doing interviews on all the hip hop radio stations along with his girlfriend saying poo poo like nah I don't need other girls and she's the one and this and that and every single radio host was giving him poo poo about it saying sooner or later he'll cheat on her or something, and of course eventually he did.

Then there was this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDACGORbhEo

And quotes like "If you’re looking for lyrics, if you’re looking to cry, if you’re looking to think about life, don’t listen to hip-hop" and "I'm not a rapper, I'm an artist/musician".

All of this predates most of his dumb tattoos that I don't think anyone actually give a poo poo about without the other stuff.

Aside from my general dislike of the heavy autotune thing, some of his music is actually decent, it's just a shame that if you look a little beyond the surface he's actually a shitbag.

You could get in to FF14, that game might have problems but "too short" is not one of them.

RDR2 is very good and quite long, and even when you're done with it RDO can be pretty fun, especially the console versions that don't have cheaters like the PC version does.

God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn are both good though I wouldn't say there's a variety of things to do, you're mostly fighting stuff.

Bloodborne is good but probably pretty far from what you're specifically looking for.

Is FFVII:R button mashy? I want to give my hands a break.

There's crafting in HZD but it's almost a combat mechanic.

FF7R lets you button mash but you don't really have to, and there's a lower difficulty setting (oddly named "Classic") that lets you mash even less than normal.
