Was struggling with a couple of the EX stages, (mainly those Silent Cleaners), until I realized I could just borrow Surtr to take care of them. As strong as TexAlter is Surtr still has some advantages like ranged attack.

i blew through all of the EX levels and CM in one sitting. lemme tell ya: that gladiia/skalter/spalter trio makes an impenetrable core. andreana even made a guest appearance on the level with the Father hiding in the corner. abyssal hunters are so good

I've been using the Penguin Logistics squad which isn't too bad with Texas2 but sometimes they get overwhelmed because Sora is their only healing.

I finished the trimmed badge for IS3. The difficulty increase is gradual but you really do end up having to change up your strategy. Horn becomes a real MVP for the boss 1 stage. Also shout out to Wrath of the Sui for being an hilariously terrible item for that floor 5 stage with all the seaborn flowers and nearly costing me my difficulty 7 run

I'm only at difficulty 5 but I think my mistake has been going for the Last Knight. That fight just sucks and I hate the gimmick and all of those runs would have finished any other boss easily. It took me til my third attempt on that stage to not gently caress up and spontaneously annihilate myself. I don't think I've seen it appear since. If you destroy all the chests the reward is 30 ingots, which honestly feels a bit underwhelming.

Waves 7 down, IS3 Trimmed Medal obtained! Now to do Waves 0 runs for a bit while I try to get the conditionals on bosses 2 and 3 (and also do some runs with squads other than the absolute best one). Sad that I got Tulip on a winning run and never had a chance to promote them. Cutter S1 with Concentration Disorder is goofy, because unlike most skills she starts her skill animation and then stops it if you use it with no enemies in range. So if she has Concentration Disorder automatically activating her skill she'll just keep throwing knives into the space in front of her, just waiting for some poor fool to step within four tiles of her. The space to the right of top-center is in range of the top-right thrower spawn, but the one in top-center can attack that spawn safely. QP does have more of a support focus with the CC on S2 and Arts damage boost to all aerial enemies in his range, but Ho'olheyak seems to do much more damage. (I'll get max potential on both eventually, but that's because I've been doing that for all the other red cert operators, not because it's actually a good idea.)

Yup, much as he did appear in Guiding Ahead (he was Executor's coworker who was weirded out by him) he definitely looks just slightly off. Honestly I spent awhile scrolling through the Twitter posts just to find a regular CN update person just to confirm it was real rather than a fake someone mocked up.

I didn't expect Lemuen to become an Operator here. IIRC, she took up a fairly high position in Laterano at the end of Guide Ahead. That seemed like a cue she was going on fairly long-term NPC status. Excited for the Saga outfit with all of her dream selves from the scroll. I don't expect the other Sagas to show up in her various skills but that would be amazing. I'm interested to see what they do with the new Reaper; considering Insider's talent I'm expecting him to have ammo, so that should at the very least produce some cool attack animations.
