Don't have a picture, my cat totally did this last night, he stopped short jumping when he bothered to look up and realized there was a plate where he was trying to jump so he stopped but still launched himself so he kind of just Wile E Coyote'd and dropped like a stone mid air when his forward momentum stopped.
