It's a good thing we have people like this saying things like that, so masses of people will be sure to stock up on supplies at all the stores. I'm sure the stores will have plenty enough for everyone.

The news media which is already into hysterics and sensationalized headlines in competition for your attention and eyeballs are LOVING THIS. Think about it... all sporting events, movies, social gatherings shut down... STAY IN YOUR HOMES... more people than ever before are going to have the news on all the time... the news media is about to have the absolute BIGGEST audience they have EVER had in the history of the world. So expect it to get REALLY crazy as they compete with each other. Already we had these headlines: Coronavirus an "almost perfect killing machine for the elderly." And in Ohio... "We estimate 1% of the state population MAY BE infected... that works out 100,000 people!" And the news media ran with it. CNN was repeating this on the air. "100,000 people in Ohio may be infected!" This is going to get a LOT worse. Personally I think running headlines and stories like these, in times like these, should be considered criminal. I don't think every store in the USA would be 100% out of toilet paper right now had it not been for the news media.

Here's a nice thing to say So when you factor in the unreported cases because they're not severe enough, the mortality rate on this virus is probably around 1% or less. It's basically a cold. So I guess if the system is going to be tested and pushed, it's a good thing it's being tested and pushed with a pretty tame virus, as far as viruses go. Because when another worldwide pandemic happens with a much more lethal virus, and it probably will, we should be better prepared. (But then again, humans never learn, probably due to being a species of great ape.)

So I actually need toilet paper now. All local shelves empty. On eBay there is weird Chinese stuff where I'm not sure what actually ships, and brand names like Scotts are selling for around $20 a 4 pack and $50 - $60 for a 12 pack. Just on a hunch I checked walmart.com and I was actually able to place an order for 20 rolls for $20. (Plain Scotts 1000), for direct shipping to my house. From what I've read there's enough in the supply chain the problem is the system can't get what's available to the store shelves in time enough to keep up with the rate people are buying it. Lol wipe teh buttz
