Hi friends! You may know Roger Dean's super chill landscape artwork from his many album covers, among other things. Though I love his work I think it also has a very dated 1960s/70s feel, like an airbrushed van or something. I think its high time we ~~defaced~~updated his artwork to suit the modern, less idyllic but far more exciting era!

If you like Roger Dean's work for use of color, contrast, and the "sort of realistic but not really" stuff I highly recommend Hiroo Isono. You might know his work from the promotional art for Secret of Mana. Roger Dean had his work used for video gaming too, and did the art for Shadow of the Beast. The remake is basically like playing a game set inside Dean paintings made 3D.

This is really weird, because I was just looking up Howard Dean yesterday as he was referenced in the venture Brothers

Slightly more on topic, but I would love to know where I can get artwork like his and other '60s and '70s artists for my office. Stuff like this or Ralph McQuarrie would be really nice to put on my wall. Do you guys have any suggestions of other artists to look at for prints?
