There's also the argument that the popularity of avatar helped open studios', publishers', etc. eyes to the commercial viability of these stories, which helps the poc trying to tell them. It's basically "oh this wasn't any good until a white person did it" which is gross, if often true in the eyes of those in power. But that's not what she said either.

It also turned out a DNA sample from the woman's cervical cells matched the kids.
