I cannot stress this enough.

They did a full video package recapping Asuka's match with Sasha last week.
And then later in the night they did a full video package recapping the ENTIRE Seth/Mysterio feud, their match at Extreme Rules and the segment last week between Seth and Dominick.

In a show that was almost nothing but talking, they also did two long rear end video packages, the longer of which was smack in the middle of the third hour. I felt like I was in the loving twilight zone.

It's been said before but it's really damning how much WWE ratings tanked during a period where there were no sports. loving NASCAR video game sims killed it in the ratings because people were desperate for any kind of live content, and even then they looked at WWE and were like "nah we're good."

AEW went down too, showing it's not just WWE - empty arena wrestling is a stone cold bummer to watch if you don't do it right. But whereas AEW has rebounded and is back to pre-pandemic numbers, Raw and SmackDown have just continued to crater.

Man, Keith Lee was so over and he got so unbelievably screwed.

His run to the top was condensed into two weeks to pop a number against AEW, then he dropped one of his belts and turned into a belt pillow for Karrion Kross. Between his quest to win the belt and his reign, they could've gotten a solid year out of him in NXT and they condensed it all into like. A month and a half.

Roman staying home and not playing Vince's stupid game was the most interesting thing he had ever done, so showing up to play Vince's stupid game and going right back to invincible Big Dog with his weird rear end new teeth, fake tan and blue contacts again, somehow, makes him boring as dishwater all over again, frankly. And very stupid, given WWE is still getting positive cases, but, it's his god given right to be stupid with his own health, I guess.

Like, I wondered what the hell the face/heel dynamic of this Braun/Bray feud was supposed to be and it was literally just them turning Braun heel so Roman would have a monster to slay. AGAIN. Seen it. Pass.
