WWE is so addicted to swerves and turns and betrayals and such that all it accomplishes is that it makes their environment look completely dysfunctional. AEW by comparison is a wrestling league with standings for titles and many matches that are simply competitive for its own sake. There are personal feuds and sometimes people turn on their allies but it's done rarely enough to shock. Nothing in WWE shocks because they do it all the loving time, in back to back segments, and often just loving forget what they did last week.
