He didn't come back to "help his team", he came back to get what was left of his contract and setup enough good play to get his next contract. I don't fault him for that, but he already was too much drama that even fans weren't interested in seeing a long term investment in him. If they had the money to pay him, people would have much rather seen it go towards Frank Clark (and no one argues that the majority of the cash went to Wilson and Wagner).

If you had told me four years ago that Eric Berry and Earl Thomas would be completely out of the league while healthy (well 'healthy according to him' in Berry's case) I'd have thought you were crazy.

Isn't Berry's problem that his Achilles is waiting for a reason to rupture?

He's got like a growth that makes everything painful but unless the tendon actually goes he should be fine if he can deal with the pain as I remember?

Either way the most recent news about anything with him is an article from January saying he was planning on playing this year. So...yeah he's just done I guess.

Ton of nagging injuries, was pretty average all along, still can give a big hit but he's lost a step in coverage. Would have to be used the right way.

Obviously he's got a strong personality as well.

I wonder how many times some poor assistant explained to Michael Irvin that he was supposed to pick the mustache for the Jags and the beard for the Dolphins and he still hosed it up.

I caught this segment, and it opened with Fitzmagic's statement that men who grow mustaches do so because they don't have the coverage to grow a respectable beard, followed by Minshew's rebuttal that he "respects his elders, especially when they're much older."

when the picks came up, Irvin said something like, "I can't grow a beard because of the coverage, so I'm not going to miss the opportunity to wear this. Jags win"

I got curious and looked it up and Eric Berry is a FA. Dallas brought him in for a workout and the physical and medical portions weren't good enough to get a deal.
