it's hard to describe the weird regional feeling of this, it's all restaurants in small towns in northern nevada (including reno) that have family-style dinners. they usually come with soup (clam chowder? cabbage?), salad, bread, a pasta (usually just spaghetti in a tomato sauce), red beans with sausage (sometimes garbanzo), a bland vegetable, french fries, and a massive piece of meat, often slathered in a cup or more of sliced garlic. this is all washed down with copious amounts of table wine or a cocktail made with an american clone (torani amer) of a french apertif that was unavailable in the united states for a long time (amer picon)

If you haven't watched this show, watch the above trailer (it's not a plot based show) and then watch the first two seasons. I think it's on HBO Max.

It's the most Americana show ever written, and I also personally hold it as my favorite TV show currently on the air. I promise you if you like this thread, the show is a must watch.
