lord funk posted:my personal favorite pro-audio hack was listening to the AM radio football announcers with the tv muted during games. the radio was sometimes 3-5 seconds earlier than the tv, so i put it through a delay line to match it up same here. my dad and i do same thing for baseball games

graph posted:yes. the entirety of spring and summer are almost 100% blue sky days i remember more rainy and snowy days as a kid, but that's probably selective memory because all the sunny ones blended together v  vas rjmccall said there's also the fronts that sweep through, so lots of midwest weather that swoops too low for the neo area

Sagebrush posted:i've always felt that they should do one last season where every episode the time advances a couple of years. we see the kids go to high school, grandpa dies, the kids grow up and get married and have kids of their own, moe dies and his bar closes and idk nelson opens a new one in the same spot, marge and homer die in a boaking accident, the kids grow old, and the series ends in like 2110 or whatever when maggie finally croaks and every single original simpsons character is dead. then they burn down the studio and destroy all the tooling so the simpsons can never be made again. they've done a few consistent flash forward world episodes that I've caught on the rare occasion that i happen to see a new episode and i wish they'd stick to it. bart has two kids but he's divorced, some random futuramaish changes to the world etc. it's not necessarily great but it feels like a fresher setting there was one where they're graduating high school and it was pretty good so the show may be stale but the characters are viable if they take the initiative i mean yeah they won't but you know
