Kids woke up at 6a which sucked, but gave me time to make a good breakfast and watched some Octonauts with them. Looking forward to nap time. This year's gonna be the hear I get my weight down. I'm 6'2" at 255lbs. I carry it will so I don't look overweight, but it's time to make a change. Can't get winded carrying a laundry basket up two floors...

Ehud posted:I don't know if it's pandemic fatigue or what. I think it's a combination of that and the news that a vaccine is out. Large number of folks are just done with it (and I totally understand that feeling), with a portion hearing about the vaccine rolling out but not understanding that it requires a large number of people over months. I've been pondering this for a while now. Do you think we'll ever get back to a pre-pandemic state or are we just stuck now with this anxiety of the person next to you being a plague vector going on in perpetuity?

I can definitely see that. I wonder if I'll ever be comfortable going to a game or other huge event in the future without worrying I'm going to infect/kill my parents. Keep those vaccines rolling, I guess.

Abugadu posted:I talked to a friend yesterday who said his wife, a nurse, was one of six nurses out of 26 at her clinic that took the vaccine, the rest didn’t. They only thing I'm even remotely optimistic about with this is that they've already had the first wave of immunizations going through and nobody has grown a new appendage or had their brain melt, so a number of the early "uncertains" are coming around around here. I know a few personally who have decided to get it after originally declining. I guess seeing your colleagues take it and end up fine is enough to overcome the trust issues. You'll never get the COVID-denying crowd, though.

Why is anyone surprised he thinks you can flip votes? If there is even an inkling of truth to there being intrusions into the 2016 election, then he probably did have votes flipped at one time. Dude's trying to get away with it because he got away with it before. Sure would've been nice if that Sec had said Silly Burrito posted:"You lost, Mr President."

But it was too late at that point I've transported multiple folks, multiple times each, with .35+ BACs that are pleading for help. There isn't really a drat thing we can do since the hospital sobers them up and they change their mind, saying they don't need help and didn't mean it when they said they did. It's heartbreaking.
