I remember going to a local restaurant after some event, and they brought a sandwich from another place. That's a violation of health and safety law, but that isn't what bothered me. They didn't even have the decency to try to hide it, forcing the wait staff to have to tell them to stop eating outside food. That always stuck in my craw, putting the waiter in that awkward position. I feel like any decent socialist should never make a service worker's life more difficult.

I freaking warned them to hide the food when the waiter approached but they wouldn't even bother holding the sandwich below the table for a moment afterward, when I asked what the hell, they said something to the effect of, "I don't like being sneaky" I can't believe this is still kicking around in my head 5 years forward christ
