In 5-10 years plays will be analyzed with an AI and the computer will call infractions. Then we can argue about bugs in the neural net when a call doesn't go the way we like.

The fun part is how the NHL is always careful to add that "the maximum allowable under the CBA" tagline because it (in their head) resolves them of any wrongdoing and manages to get a dig in at the NHLPA.
