Kraftwerk posted:What exactly happens if you cheat and give yourself 6666? I did a playthrough this way and you pass pretty much every check like you'd think, but you're essentially spacing out for minutes at a time between every dialog choice because all your skills are yelling constantly in your head. You're the most competent version of the detective (especially when throwing a shotput) but in a way also by far the most insane. Might be worth doing once as a gimmick once you're familiar with the game but it's not really the core experience.

It felt weird how does hatred of women enter the equation "This is the baddest of all the ideologies, so no one admits they're a fascist. Rather, they're “traditionalists”. Or “nationalists”, a term they get really angry if you associate with fascism. (No one wants leprosy on their brand.) The emotional draw here is, of course, that pretty girl who didn't want to sleep with you. The other ideologies don't explain why that happened. Fascism does. Because the commies pushed the king under a street car and now nothing in the world is holy or beautiful. During your stay in Revachol plenty of women will tell you no, so, naturally, most people will pick this one. I mean, who doesn't want “absolutely giant fascist” in their Steam achievements? Also, it goes really well with alcoholism."

Sekenr posted:Uh, what? Way to project, here is no emotional draw, I wanted to see the part of the game I didn't explore yet. It's from one of the writeups of the political ideologies. Each one gets one, but that specifically touches on how fascism tied up in issues with women. Communism quote:No one wants to be associated with communism by the time you get there. The party is over. They'd rather call themselves socialists and social democrats. No wonder – commies got their asses handed to them 50 years ago. Their little commune got wiped off the face of the Earth. Even worse, the civil war gave foreign powers a casus belli to invade Revachol and now look at the poo poo we're in. Also, Kras Mazov, the father of scientific communism killed himself. Moralism quote:Finally! Something normal. Enough of those ramblings – in this world there is also a sensible ideology for people who simply want to do good by everyone. How? By looking at the options on the table and saying: no. I don't want any of those associated with me. I just want to play a regular, inconsequential, doesn't-really-believe-in-anything type of detective. Ultraliberal quote:Do you “grind” and “hustle?” Sure you do. You're a money engineer. A money scientist. You move money on a level inconceivable to the ordinary citizen. What is money, anyway? Money is trust.

Or she could genuinely be remorseful at this point, and actually want you to judge her honestly. She's a broken, contradictory person, just like Harry. Savoir Faire is the skill who talks you about the ideology which is why I made it the signature, but you make a good point.

Randarkman posted:Again, this is informed by the vision quest, and I haven't tried going into that one with generally high intellect and related skills, but I remember from my first (Communist) run that Rethoric and such are your politically aware skills, and although you want to get art you don't really want Rethoric or Logic cramping your style by pointing out the violence inherent in the capitalist economic system. So while you want Conceptualization to be high, the hustlerest of builds would probably try to keep the other Intellect skills low. Ok, so maybe Ultraliberal: 2/4/2/4 tag: Conceptualization and then make Moralist 2/4/4/2?

They really did a great job with Kim hitting the balance so that he’s the competent professional without being a total buzzkill that won’t tolerate your shenanigans and with a high Espirit de Corps it even points out that though he doesn’t believe supernatural stuff is afoot he still takes it seriously when you claim to get psychic hunches because he just assumes your intuition is picking up on something he missed.
