Man, back in my mid-teens I got on to some of the early Acid House stuff that A Guy Called Gerald was putting out thanks to a lad a few houses up who was a few years older and with the cash to spend on 12"es - stuff like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7vxHOCeiQ4 was absolute fire back then, and it's still a real bop today. I went off on a whim to see what else Gerald might have got up to, and I'd totally missed that in 1995 (I was in my heavy Goth phase by then) he'd morphed from the Acid House scene into Jungle / DnB and produced this absolute genre masterclass : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycq0XRAbTI4 put over an hour to listen to this in its entirety; unbelievably cool stuff, labelled as a 'forgotten classic' in every review, landing in a bunch of 'best of' lists.
