The real question is if tanks are still relevant in an era of ubiquitous drone use. We've seen tanks clowned on in Syria and Yemen against irregular forces, but I think there was an assumption that there was still a role for tanks in wars between state powers.

when i was a git, the local armory brought a couple tanks to our one-stoplight town for 4th of july festivities and they tore up a couple roads which I've always appreciated bc gently caress that place

"someone who is both comically more radical than me and bad" is close I guess? it's really most amusing watching anarchists grow increasingly aware of the fact it is terminology they share within the most hardcore liberals and reactionaries, lol. swear to loving Christ before I stopped posting in DnD someone demanded I quote a loyalty oath about the uyghurs in China explicitly stating it was a genocide to "prove" I wasn't a tankie, which is for real one of the craziest loving things that has happened to me in the near 2 decades I've been here.
