Was there really a Fahrenheit 451 movie with Michael B Jordan? Is it terrible?

yes, there was and yes, it is.

I am actually teaching Fahrenheit 451 in my English class this semester. I will use that movie because there is no good movie for it (there was a weird Danish movie made in the 70s)

Why would you make your students read that trash libertarian garbage? There's like a million more interesting books out there with far more literary importance.

I am 100% sure Vonnegut is not a libertarian. Maybe Bradbury sucks? I dunno.. He's one of the most pro-library authors I've read in interviews, which is why I like him and does not seem super libertarian.

I didn't read either of those books.

Thinking a lot about how all the military nerds would scream about how lord of war starring nicklas cage was fake news and the us didn't just leave all the weapons in whatever country they did an imperial terrorism on because it's cheaper to make new ones than ship them home.

I like Bluebeard and Cat's Cradle myself, but yes, Vonnegut is amazing, and Slaughterhouse 5 is among the best anti-war books ever.. Bradybury however, apparently sucked later in life:

"It’s probably worth noting that Bradbury himself was a staunch conservative in his final years. In fact, he would have made for a great Tea Party icon.

“President Reagan was our greatest president. He lowered the taxes and he gave the money back to the people,” Bradbury told a Comic-Con panel in 2010. “The next election, [the] November [2010 midterms], and two years from now, we’ll take the government back and give it to the people.”

Vonnegut did have issues with women though. Can't deny that.
