They joke about being bad at ending in sketches too. It's obviously wrong, just look at this and tell me they can't write endings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FttPbINDFvM

But drat dude, everybody was snubbed in the most Emmy's kind of move possible. They were clearly going for a "these people matter too" thing by highlighting a string of makeup artists and hair stylists nobody has ever heard of for the entire thing. Sean Connery, Yaphet Kotto, Sonny Chiba, Sean Lock, Michael K. Williams, Biz Markie, Markie Post, anybody a human on this dumb earth might have recognized at all was snubbed, even Ron Popeil was too well known to have his photo shown and all he did on TV was infomercials.

I'm not sure I follow; they each play different female characters almost all the time. In fact, I truly don't think there's one KitH episode where there's not actor in 'drag' At the same time, there are many persistent, recurring female characters they play.

Yeah, in WKUK they all play different characters, but like, they kind of have different types, if that makes any sense? I guess they have different types as male characters too. Disregard, another thought overthought. Anyway, the Abe Lincoln sketch is the best sketch of all time.

I'm not sure about the others but Sam is usually played as the dumbass or jerk or combination of both.

Zach seems like he plays the most neutral characters in general.

If I'd seen more WKUK, I probably would have gotten exactly what you meant from your question, sorry

The only KitH sketch I can remember doesn't even have any women in it -- the one where they run out of barbershop stories.

You know, now that I think of it, the guys in KiTH did tend to play specific types of women, but I think it's more about their strengths as comic actors than anything. Bruce McCulloch was often soft-spoken and timid or beat-down, Scott Thompson was usually brassy and confident, Dave Foley played bitchy/uptight and reserved, Kevin McDonald played put-upon and frazzled, and Mark McKinney did everything because he's brilliant

Bruce played Tammy. Would you say Francesca Fiore and/or Fran were examples of Scott being confident? drat, ok. You know what YTM? It looks like they do tend to play the same general types when playing women. And yes, Mark's brilliant. He's definitely my favourite.
