I love the reverb on the drums, how they're so bombastic, and how Les' bass is as if it's being played/strummed way higher up on the neck of the guitar. I don't know, it's got just I really, really interesting sound to it. I heard Restin' Bones on a college radio station right before it came out came out, and knew that I had to pick up the album as soon as it was released.

I was in college when I found that album, and that night prior I was taking a nighttime astronomy class. We got to go out on the lip of the planetarium and look at the moon through powerful telescopes, and then I biked back to my apartment in the warm summer air and had a joint, which I smoked and then listened to that album. gently caress it's so good. It's one of my holy grails for the vinyl record as well and it's hella elusive or hundreds of dollars. Anyway, I always like when someone else is appreciative of that album.

One of my absolute favourite albums of all time is By The Way. It is the only RHCP album I would consider entirely good. I only own Nirvana's Nevermind and don't know anything else about them, besides the whole shotgun thing. It's an okay album.
