Spermgod posted:ive felt for a while now that TK is a little excessively hesitant to give away matches between pushed guys and it shows in that tournament bracket. the roster is so stacked right now, a Ricky Starks or an Eddie Kingston can afford to go to a tournament semifinals and lose to a Miro or a Moxley. it's fine and NJPW shows it's fine every year. But.. Eddie is in the tournament.

I think it's a tournament set up for one very strong story beat which is one way to book a tournament, though I'd prefer it to start earlier and the field to be larger maybe next year.

I suffered through WWE for years as a casual fam, swore off wrestling after cool dudes like Owens and Zayn were treated like poo poo and recently checked out AEW and got HOOKed. If you're okay with a language barrier, Japanese wrestling is probably the next best thing (when you take into account ease of access and price). Wrestle Universe is $10 a month and includes DDT, TJPW, NOAH, and Ganbare Pro, I'm not super well versed in Ganbare Pro but the other three are very solid and fun. DDT and TJPW are more comedy based (but with very good wrestling at the top of the card) and NOAH is full of old dudes beating the absolute poo poo out of each other. They've all got some free matches on youtube so I'd check out the top of the card of each of them to see if you like them.
