yes that is the default.

you can't move the start menu button without a registry hack, either
they did 'fix' that tiny issue oddly:
Personalisation -> Taskbar -> Taskbar behaviours -> Taskbar alignment [Left | Centre]

however you're still stuck with large taskbar icons, no titles, grouped with no alternatives. and the clock in the bottom right can't show seconds. not touching that outside of work until they make that part at all usable

amazon's warehouses don't separate skus off of supplier and there's not a shortage of places claiming to be selling 3m ppe nowadays. it's a crapshoot of whether you get a counterfeit or not

1. It's a web browser, not a lifestyle choice
2. No way the social media team didn't know what they were doing here

yeah they absolutely knew and this is one of the classic social media manager acting innocent and everyone knowing and looking at the metrics instead. usually people respond by not engaging though

people making shell hacks to get functionality that was removed isn’t the problem here buddy
as someone who's said the same poo poo as raymond on these garbage hacks being thrown around and installed without care: that doesn't mean you get to gloss over why they exist in the first place lol

if it is truly a systemic enough problem for it to impact your metrics then that's more internal fodder for why the designers should be fired out of a cannon and more power given to people who actually use the systems rather than have an idealised fantasy of what a spherical pc interface should be. then again hell, maybe he's tried that to death and this is to spur up more popular news site articles on the issue to point at instead of random commenter's thoughts

e: it should be noted that memory patchers aren't exactly novel and it's pretty loving normal to do a sanity check for whether you're patching the right address with the right version of your library definitions so extra lol
