i think JR's most recent WWE firing was for getting drunk at a panel promoting one of the WWE games because they couldnt fire the even more drunk ric flair and needed to make an example of someone

Yes, back in 2013, though at the same time it was just a convenient excuse for WWE to cut him because "he's old and talks funny". He then took a break for about 3 years before starting to do commentary for New Japan between 2016 and 2018, plus a few shows for WWE, mostly specials like the Mae Young Classic, and since 2019 he's been with AEW.

All this talk about Hogan being such a safe worker, would never hurt anyone, yadda yadda, ignoring that was completely reckless and had no regards for the health of his opponents. If you need evidence just check out this brutal chair shot:

Did Punk ever work for Impact when it was TNA? Also, I hear it's going back to being called TNA next year.

Quite a bit, until TNA severed ties with ROH and he decided to stay with ROH. This was at time when he was feuding with Raven and TNA brilliantly thought "Hey, you know how Punk and Raven are literally trying to kill each other in every single Indy fed they meet? Let's make them stable partners here".

dixie carter may very well be the dumbest person to have ever been in charge of a wrestling promotion which is no small feat because there are a lot of stupid people involved in wrestling

Remember that time before Hogan came in when she had a meeting with the whole roster where she told them they all better listen to her and follow her orders or else they'd be gone? And remember how TNA thought it would be a good idea to show video of this meeting on their own show? Well, at least Impact learned after many years and actually deleted the video from Youtube, but the internet never forgets:

And then the next time she was in an angle it was because Hogan and Bischoff stole the company from her in storyline and Sting was doing everything to get the company back to Dixie, even though for once in TNA's long miserable existance, things were actually somewhat improving.

AEW also recently had the Like a Dragon: Gaiden Street Fight:

Sadly this video doesn't include the part where Takeshita hits Kenny and Jericho with a bicycle.

All this talk about needing a Bane luchador like AEW doesn't already employ Brian Cage:
