A bit less mountaneering or raunchy homosex scenes than I expected based on the media attention back in the day. A good movie all in all. But that's not why I made this thread... My number one feeling after watching the movie is that Ennis is essentially the origin story to Trailer Park Boys' Jim Lahey. So glad he found Randy eventually.

A million years ago I rented this on DVD via Netflix and upon viewing it was confused that there was no hot wet homo sex that the media was so furious about. It turns out the disc was scratched in a way that caused it to skip seamlessly from the logical end of one scene to the post coital scene and only by manually reversing after the skip was I rewarded with the hot man rear end on man rear end action that corrupted my soul. I like to think some hardcore Christian dingbat rented the same DVD and painstakingly calculated just where and how to scratch it to skip the sex scene and in the process had to watch said scene over and over again adjusting the scratch each time trying to perfectly overcome the error correction algorithms to produce the needed skip. Well that's my Brokeback Mountain story.
