At least 128gb is the baseline now and not an effectively mandatory upgrade.

I looked up upgrade prices on my phone carrier here in the UK for the 15s and I think I might actually get a Pro when it's still less than £50 a month.

My first smartphone was the Motorola Atrix, aka the phone they sold as a laptop replacement that came with a dock you could use and connect a keyboard and mouse (that I still have) into. I never used it for that but the stand did charge the phone and prop it up so sat happily next to my bed for the entire time I owned it. I absolutely want a stand to use a phone like an alarm clock again.

I did notice when looking around earlier that Spigen have a bondi blue case. I probably would've bought it right then it it had just been clear plastic and didn't have a bunch of other random shapes and text on it.

Only reason I bet most people aren't just doing unboxing videos is because the unboxing takes about 20 seconds and you can't stretch talking about a braided cable far enough to make an algorithm satiating video. So you have your first impressions video, your review video, camera comparison video, possibly gaming video since I've seen a few people talk about Apple including an early version of Resident Evil 8 on the Pro review units.

The Lightning buds have a DAC built in too, I believe the same one that’s in the 3.5mm dongle. The wired buds have basically always supported lossless, because they’re wired. Any upgrade is more likely from Apple getting better at tuning headphones and improvements in DACtech in the years since the Lightning buds than anything specifically different in the chip itself. Though I’ll always hold that the Earpods have always been good, they just suck for walking around with. I have a pair by my bed basically at all times because they’re pretty good bedphones.

Then my Lightning ones from my SE and I'm probably going to get the USB-C ones too because I've found my 3.5mm ones with a USB-C dongle work very nicely with my headphone jackless VR headset.

Samsung (the quintuple bump), Google (the camera shelf) and Apple (camerasquare) have all made their camera bumps the defining visual image of their phones.

I am enjoying how on screen controls in games are way more useable on a bigger screen though, I can actually play Genshin semi-competantly now.

Rageaholic posted:I'm guessing the "console level gaming" from the keynote (Resident Evil, Assassin's Creed, The Division) would also drain the battery rather quickly. But are those even available yet? They gave reviewers a preview build of RE8 but the RE ports I think are out next month. I'm expecting the battery life playing them to be the same story as other handhelds like the Switch and Steam Deck at max demand, 2-3 hours at most. That's about what Genshin Impact at max settings or a 3DMark stress test will do.
