Been watching random horror Blu-rays from my collection lately. Did a double feature of House on Haunted Hill (1999) and Thir13en Ghosts (2001) just the other day. F. Murray Abraham does a great narration piece on the ghost’s backstories as an extra in the latter movie. Probably gonna do another double feature of Shocker and The People Under the Stairs. Maybe even a triple feature of Del Toro’s Cronos, The Devil’s Backbone, and Pan’s Labyrinth because I loving love me some Del Toro (and Craven, too!).

I'd say something light and punchy. Maybe watch QI from the beginning. The BBC region-restricts most of it, but a VPN will solve that problem.

If you grew up with A Christmas Story, then you will enjoy a A Christmas Story Christmas on HBO Max. I watched it with my friend and then I watched it again with my dad when he visited. I just watched Troll last night and it's a fun movie as well, but expect a larger-than-life thriller, not a horror movie.

if you’re too busy with work you won’t have time to be depressed. i recommend working at least 14 hours per day through the winter including the holidays.

Unsolved Mysteries (stack version, not the lame reboot attempt). You can probably skip the episodes with the updated intro/theme music and Keely Shaye Smith.

Random stuff on ShoutTV, it's like nickelodeon, but for late Gen X/early millennial morons like me. It's like a UHF station. I tried MeTV but they cut too much stuff, air too many commercials, and actually increase the speed of their video content to make room for even more commercials.

OP you should hunt for an old show called "The Supersizers Go..." It's Sue Perkins and some food critic dude, and each episode they live in a different era of British history, wearing the clothes and eating the food that people ate in that era. There are some gruesome meals, but on the whole it is entertaining and educational.

i just watched this for the first time recently, over a couple weeks. off and on. i thought it was good and bleak and poo poo but over the top and inaccurate with regards to how hosed up everything stayed. like crops would not fail to grow. Hiroshima proved that wasn't the case that said, it's a great christmas movie
