Watched the last election and gotta say, this 'politics' stuff has got me intrigued. Any recommendations for politicians I should support? Ideally someone who has a chance of winning but not one of the super popular ones so people dont think I'm on the bandwagon

So I've been reading about socialism, and the hurdle for me with socialism and those things similar is every program, and every dollar that supports it, has to be acquired through the threat of violence. When I start thinking about how much good the programs do, I can't help but also associate it with the threat of violence required to make them happen. There are certain things that are worth the threat of violence to have a system of government, but it's that idea that always restrains me back from full blown everything should be equal. I just think we should be reasonable, don't see how people can support violence.
