so the spam sites are onto that trick now.

on the other hand, i wonder if we aren’t approaching the limits of what can be done in terms of energy costs and resource inputs, at least in a capitalist structure. particle accelerators are deep in the exponential part of the curve. transistors are approaching the sun’s energy density. there’s only so much material to mine before environmental degradation tails it off.

I don’t think it will stop sci/eng/hist development, and perhaps something like fusion will completely prove me wrong, but it feels like soon our knowledge may get out ahead of what we can produce/build
