The visceral thing that has stuck with me, will be forever burned in my brain, when I went to clean out his apartment, other than blue tarp covering what must have been decomposition fluids, was finding all these little brown capsules on the floor. Everywhere. I picked one up and examined it. Looked like some sort of insect leavings. I saw the flies buzzing around one of the windows, and it clicked. They were fly pupae, the stage before a maggot turns into a fly. Made out of my dad. Nature is wonderful, isn't it? Oh, and I also closed his porn tabs and didn't tell my aunt who was there with me.
