Yesterday's weather means my high school daughter won't be able to spend ten days of her spring break visiting me. Would love to be able to send these things she/we enjoy. FWIW in his later years he did get into leftism and repudiated a lot of his earlier writing. He came at it primarily from an economic angle rather than a social one but his letters do talk about racism being a facile tool to keep the masses distracted and being embarrassed at how much he had bought into it.

There's an online fiction series I've been reading lately called Pale Lights that you may enjoy. It's kind of a flintlock fantasy setting where humans dwell amongst the ruins of predecessor civilizations, and dying gods and spirits contract their powers to mortals to prolong their existence. It has some good creepy and Lovecraftian vibes.

Neil Gaiman wrote a short story called "A Study in Emerald". It's a Sherlock Holmes story (A Study in Scarlet) in the Lovecraft universe. It's available for free on his website in pdf (along with some other short stories).

 I bought this shirt, but i'm not comfortable wearing it now because it feels to close to "All Lives Matter" i wear shirts like it to the gym, but it's normally retro cartoons, like thundercats and transformers. what say ye?
