How many Maker's Fingers can you have at one time? And when you use them on the Ur-Dragon, can you just hit anywhere or does it have to be one of the giant glowing weak points?

You may only have one at a time and you must hit a weak point. Nemesis of Moles, stick up your gamertag or PSN ID if you want rift crystals from some hires.

I'm FINALLY ready to start New Game +, but I have one important question remaining. Do you get to stay the class you are when you finish the game, or do you have to spend the first 2-5 hours of a new game locked into a base class, like before?

I guess I'll focus on Intimate Strike->Intimate Gambit/Gouge->Dire Gouge/Clarity->Clairvoyance and my already pretty good strider bow skills. I switched over to Ranger for a bit because their augments looked a little better but now I'll switch back and save up XP for these pretty expensive skills.

How do I get to NG+ from the seneschal's throne thing? I don't have the Godsbane in my inventory but it let me use it on buddy to become the seneschal, I understand you have to stab yourself after to start NG+? Is there any point to the weird running around invisible thing accessed by interacting with the throne? Basically asking if I hosed myself out of being able to play NG+ or if I'm missing something

Does the game ratchet up the difficulty a notch after I meet with the Duke? I've finished all the Wyrm Hunt quests and I'm just cleaning up my to-do quest list now, but I'm starting to feel like I'm getting the upper hand (level 30). I'm sure there's plenty in waiting for me, since the only bosses I've seen in the wild so far are cyclops, ogres, and the rare chimera.

Seriously how do you perfect block? I can't find it anywhere on the net and it's not in the manual and from the skill video he just blocks through the whole goblin attack, and in practice I cant' get it to work by blocking the instant before they hit me, and as I was poo poo hot at riposting in dark souls I don't think I'm just loving it up.

The game levels off in terms of difficulty once you hit mid twenties to thirties. Post-game jacks the difficulty up a bit too for a while. However, if you aren't there yet, you could try exploring the Devilfire Grove for a slightly tougher monster.

Are drakes supposed to appear early on in NG+? Do they appear early on in a first playthrough? I was walking about in NG+ trying to explore missing parts of my map (namely, between the shadow fort and the bloodsomething beach where all the goblins are, and I was surprised I was attacked by a dragon winging in from out of the sky. I had only progressed far enough where I hadn't even talked to Ser Maximillian for the first time yet. Also, where is madeline found at the beginning of the game? The quest to escort her to Gran Soren I've missed out twice now, I've only seen her once I get to Gran Soren where she's already hanging out in the Inn. As for my other experiences, the Golden Idol quest I got the first time through, and it was long before I got the quest to prove Fournival's innocence. I'm mostly worried about not getting the Witch Hunt quest (didn't do any Selene quests the first time through except the one to make some ale) and any quests I missed with Madeline (I never had her leave Gran Soren the first playthrough) or Quina (missed her Witchwood quest the first time through, or any other quest. She just appeared at the Nunnery late in the game for me. I assume there will be an escort quest to bring her to the Abbey?)

Yeah, in all of my plays, loving thing wouldn't even let me do any of the Shadow Fort quests until I killed it. Couldn't go around it or anything, so I wasn't done with the Wyrm Hunt until my late 30's.

Is there something special you do to get skewer dart to pierce shields or is it bugged? These goblins just deflect the arrow. e: Why didn't they implement the enemy AI that's in new game + in regular game? gently caress, wolves play support, harpies rush you and carry you to an ogre, which bats you into the ocean. Undead hold you for wolves, goblins do four hit combos, while the rest kick you while you're down, preventing you from attacking. Why was none of this in the base game? It's really only annoying in ng+ because every single attack every single enemy does has a status ailment attached. RBA Starblade fucked around with this message at 00:29 on Jun 19, 2012 |

Same with holy riposte, sometimes it seems a bit like something else happens, but if it does it hits what I blocked instantly so I can't see it.

So loving around with MK for a while made me realize that I can shoot homing lightning from my shield. That skill will never leave that slot and I was able to kill a ballista goblin from 100 feet away in the shadow fort quest with it. Abyssal anguish is also pretty loving good since it gives your weapon range, multi hit and a shockwave which makes golems trivial since it's able to hit multiple weakspots at the same time on it.

I'm having a hard time deciding between skills based on their descriptions in game, will I gimp myself if I just take whichever ones fancy me? I'd rather not spoil myself by reading character build info (and probably more importantly) watching the skill animations on youtube. I'm a strider planning to go assassin, if that makes any difference.

Now every loving block I attempt is a perfect block, the time window is so large with the fighter augment. I nearly went crazy trying to perfect block and it turned out that it seemed impossible because it was friggin impossible until you buy that skill, which should really be loving called perfect block instead of reflect.

Points come fast enough, from my experience, that you can experiment a bit and never feel you're too terribly starved for them. You can always go out and grind monsters if you really want to, anyway.
