Trinidad James is bad and there are a lot of rappers like that and they all suck too. And that goes for old rappers and new rappers. Its basically image rap, talk about the same stuff, rap the same way, beats sound the same, just change clothes. There a few guys that can pull it off (like Juicy J) but it boils down to making memorable songs and not just aping what you see everyone else do.

Oh I agree 100%, it seems (unfortunately) that this trend of rappers being able to stand solely on their entertaining persona and mythos is something people actually are into. Like, people in general, not people in this thread. I posted it because I wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one who thinks it is bad - is this where mainstream is going?
