Young Freud posted:I've heard from the trailer that a lot of people see this one as a satire on the whole "paranormal romance" genre, not a continuation of it. The filmmakers know it's a joke on the Twilight series. Yeah, the trailer definitely makes it look like a comedy, not directly a romance.

Alright, so they're basically reimagining "My Boyfriend's Back"? And holy crap there were a lot of stars that got their starts on this bomb. Philip Seymour Hoffman, Matthew McConaughey, Renée Zellweger, and Matthew Fox all had some roles in this movie.

Eh. Could be better. They could have tucked the sword in and moved his hand to where it rested on his knee, giving a silhouette to the claws. Since the claws are Wolverine's defining feature, it would make sense to give emphasis to that over the sword. Also, tucking the sword in would move his face to get a good look at his face and properly silhouette his hair as well. Right now, it might as well be The Last Samurai 2: Gaijin Bugaloo.

That motion poster is pretty neat. So I don't know a WHOLE lot about Wolverine... but why exactly would he need a sword when he's got 6 knuckle swords

It's supposed to be in his days in Japan, prior to Weapon X, when he gets the admantinum skeleton and the claws. When he's dealing with ninja clans and traveling the world. Those aren't even his claws, they're tiger claws, a martial arts hand weapon.

For a second the shadow on Wolvy's left fist made me think he was wearing some kind of claw fist thing like Mr. Han in Enter The Dragon. EDIT: Young Freud posted:Those aren't even his claws, they're tiger claws, a martial arts hand weapon. Oh, are they? It's hard to tell.

It looks like his claws are going through a guard, so an enemies blade wouldn't go into his hand. It's an interesting idea for the character.

Unsurprisingly the man that made this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8JK0CLsHRQ is not the straightest arrow in the quiver. So as I've mentioned before the local independent theater has a thing where they show a cult film each sunday and get an artist to design a new poster for each film. ZardoZ by Ómar Hauksson Nice and simple. Doesn't really tell you all that much about Zardoz but neither does the movie itself. Freaks by Sólveig Pálsdóttir. I like this one since it looks like it could have been made when the movie first came out and captures the feel of the film pretty well. Carnival of Souls by Kolbeinn Hugi Höskuldsson. The font is a bit cheesy looking but for the most part I like this one. Even if you took away the title you'd know right away that it's a spooky movie featuring a carnival and probably some phantoms. Hausu by Geoffrey Þ. Huntingdon-Williams.
