Voting for Ratzinger, the Fortunate Son, Appointed by God Wizardo is just. Ugh. Like someone else said before me, too self-referential.

My point was, that name is not a stereotypical lame spanish joke like "Wizardo de la something" or "El Señor Something Y Something" or something like that. I admit though that I wasn't aware that the actual name of the pope was "Aloisius". I thought that that was a lame joke that missed the localization. I guess that that proves that no matter how awful goons are, real life will always beat us.

ecclesiastical music plays All aboard the pope-wagon! What we have here is a clash of the old guard with their tired old memes and the young thrusting posters of a new generation. You lot will be first against the wall come the coronation. Also, with "Wizardo de Paradox de Pytheid de la Creta" does Creta need the definite article, wouldn't it be "Pytheid de Creta"?

A long-rear end name was a must, and I decided that it should be a name that Goons would like, so I took a minute to create the adequate <reference> de <reference> de <reference> de la <reference>. There is as much reason for Wizardo to be a Cretan gimmick as there is for the British Royal Family to be addicted to schnapps and sauerkraut. edit: The Ratzinger idea is silly enough to like, and it would give the Intellectual faction something to rage about.

I don't care about names. Porn in the Purple is easily the most hilarious of the available options, which is saying something, because the options include "Travel Agent" and "Pop singer". Then... oh.... how about a Religious Appointment.... by the Ecumenical Patriarch. EDIT: I'm leaving in my Freudian slip for posterity.

Don't know what people are getting in a huff about over a name not being too gimmicky or whatever. Wiz only asked us for a Name, Background, Rise to Power, and nothing more, so Wiz can make the popeguy a latin american imposter ex-pope in disguise as an ex-pope in disguise in retirement or any such crazy thing that he feels would best fit the narrative (not that the goons wouldn't have rumors around the guy making many believe he *is* the ex-pope). Basically whatever the choice, he only has to incorporate the three actual things we voted on into a story that is probably already partially done (he has stated that he has a particular personality in mind for the presidente already).
