Updated the game tonight and now my on foot controls are hosed. Can't throw grenades/shoot/sprint on foot. Controls for everything else work fine. Seriously. gently caress DICE.

I don't know how much the fighting game community and the BF4 community intermingle, but hey, if you like Skullgirls, I whipped up a couple of emblems based on the little icons Filia, Peacock and Squigly have near their health bar in game. All of them are twenty layers or less so they can be used by anyone. They're on the spreadsheet if you want to use them. If anyone wants anything specific done, I'd be happy to give it a shot.

So I am trying to import one of the decals that is in the OP (cosby preferably) but BF4 keeps saying "too many layers", even if I have 20/20 layers it says "No message set", what in the gently caress does this mean?

I'm on the edge of getting this. My main question is how is the sun glare and blue filter compared to BF3? The same? Lessened? The sun glare in particular made me quit BF3 because it gave me a loving headache every time I played.

You know that rock that you're near but is nowhere near your line of sight? Yeah, your rocket is going to hit that and kill you. Also, you're going to get stuck on literally every piece of geometry possible. 6 inch high pile of rubble that used to be a wall? Good luck with that! At least I'm still crashing! Seriously considering a chargeback. The only things on my Origin account are BF3 and 4. One was terrible and the other should be in alpha testing.

I accidentally rammed into a boat because I did a dive that was too steep and a rogue wave pushed the boat into me, and he was loving livid. Cue the hate speech angry messages. He kept spawning into the boat, so I took it upon myself to spawn into the jet and spend the whole match ramming into him specifically. I love this game.

If he is in a helicopter he constantly whines about people trying to ram him, and he also likes to whine about lock-on weapons taking no skill to use. Thankfully the game has some slight semblance of balance, but it's almost like he expects people to just hand him a 50-0 score on a silver platter. That being said he is a solid pilot and a solid recon player, but drat can the guy whine.

Yeah, the game flat out requires a 64-bit OS and more than 4 gb of ram. If you're still on 32, you're pretty much poo poo outta luck.

I found an invisible wall on one of the water-level ledges on Flood Zone the other day. I ran into someone and shot him 5 times with the shotgun while he emptied his pistol at me and neither of us took any damage, then I moved a bit closer to the edge and one-shot him. There wasn't even any visible geometry or rubble there, it was just an invisible wall that blocked bullets but not movement.

It seems like a pretty common requirement nowadays.

I should probably know this by now but could someone clarify on revives: if a guy revives you in a bad situation where you will likely die again but you don't right click to decline the revive fast enough you can still be killed a second time?

Trisk posted:I should probably know this by now but could someone clarify on revives: if a guy revives you in a bad situation where you will likely die again but you don't right click to decline the revive fast enough you can still be killed a second time? Kinda. If someone attempts to revive you but you neither decline nor accept, you can be 'killed' in the sense that you're forced to redeploy, your team loses a ticket for your initial death, etc. The enemy player however will only get a kill if you accept the revive before he shoots you. While we're at it, if you die, get revived, and then die after the revive cooldown expires, you won't get that death added to your stats. Which in practice means you can have died and redeployed several times in a match but remained at 0 deaths the entire time.

A jeep spawned in front of my tank mid tank battle. My staff shell decided it would be cool to lock onto it. It killed me. Also where's the mode where you don't fight against each other, but each side gets 8 scout choppers and you shoot at endless swarms of AI infantry.

Huh. It's like the game is so pissed that I don't make a choice at the end that it straight up crashes instead of rolling the credits. I wait, what happens happens, they say their lines, but instead of roll credits I get some lovely DX error. I should try again and get a screenshot. It specifically says "This should have been fixed in design stage" or something like that.

Well yes, because In my made up dream mode, you'd still be competing for points, just with all the fun of shooting infantry in scout choppers without the war of attrition chopper dogfighting and unavoidable IGLA/active radar missiles slamming into you constantly.
