Our love who doesn't have any experience in the field and a real ordained priest both have a cleric rating of 1. So it looks like in this universe religion does have something to do with love! What a refreshing thought.
Get our girl to do the priestly things. Just skip the chastity bit.

quote:My party was complete. The four of us had a good long talk about the kinds of missions we'd like to do and how we would go about doing them. I soon learned that my partners were terrible with money: My golem had no money, the cleric offered it all to charity, and the thief lost it through gambling as fast as it was made. The result was that I was left to outfitting the party.
We looked over our equipment and trained in our skills before we left.
Equip iGor, the fighter.
Equip Maris, the thief.
Equip Sheri, the cleric.
Train iGor myself. (Needs Fighting Skill)
Train Maris myself. (Needs Thievery Skill)
Train Sheri myself. (Needs Healing Skill)
Journey onward.
Now, like I said, I'll be equipping and training everyone myself because otherwise it'd just be jumping around menus for days. And they only have positive effects so, whatever.
iGor, the fighter posted:Train iGor myself (Needs Fighting Skill)
We trained for many hours. I was able to teach iGor a few things.
Smith a regular sword. (15 Smithing)
I borrowed a smithy from a blacksmith I knew in Tornassa. I proceeded to forge a standard blade for iGor. It was good work.
Maris, the thief posted:

quote:We packed up our belongings and left the tavern.
Our first job came to us where first jobs usually did. We were sitting around the Full Cup Inn and drinking. We were also discussing tactics, but often the useful conversation gave way to the useless after as the night wore on. A caravan guard from a nearby town came into our tavern complaining that he had been robbed. He said that a group of kobold bandits were charging people a toll for using a kingdom road. It was a small band, so the royal guards hadn't been sent. This was our chance to begin our new careers. We left immediately.
Horse, my horse, was very impatient at our slow progress. I knew that we would have to get mounts for everyone eventually if we wanted to take jobs that were further away. We hadn't gone far down the forest road when five kobolds stepped in front of us.
"Give us your money!" they exclaimed upon our arrival.
I cast several fire bolts at them. (Needs 20 Conjuration)
I told them that they didn't have the legal right to collect a toll on that road. (Needs 20 Geography)
I told iGor to attack. (Needs Fighter Power 4)
I didn't think we were ready, so I did as they requested.

Also if we have an option where the options are either "do a single thing" or fail, could you just like, pick that thing? It's hardly a choice usually.

It was a good victory and a nice start to our adventuring days. We returned to the tavern and told everyone that the road was now safe. A few caravaners gave us some gold for our troubles.
I happily accepted the reward.
I demanded more money for our efforts.
I told them that no reward was necessary.

quote:It was our rightful pay, and we needed the money.
(Gold +60, Fame +1)
We spent several days at the Full Cup Inn as we looked for our next job. There was a dwarf shopkeeper who had a task for us; a couple of orcs had stolen his wife's diamond necklace. We learned that the orcs had a camp just outside of Tornassa.
It wasn't difficult to find the orc encampment. We spoke to the three warriors who were living there, and they said that they took the necklace because the dwarf owed them money for services that they had provided but hadn't been paid for. They claimed to have been working as guards for the dwarf's store. I wasn't sure about this arrangement; perhaps if they had been half-orcs it would have made sense, but full orcs were not reliable and likely wouldn't have been hired.
I felt that they deserved the necklace, so I told them so, even though it meant we would fail the quest. (Needs 20 Personality)
I sent in Maris, the thief, to steal it back. (Needs Thief Power 5)
I cast an Enchantment spell to make the orcs want to give me the necklace. (Needs 30 Enchantment)
I cast a Transmutation spell to turn the ground into mud. (Needs 20 Transmutation)
I didn't see any safe way to recover the necklace, so we gave up.
quote:We simply walked away; the orcs looked too tough for us.
I was beginning to get used to living at the Full Cup Inn. It got loud at times, but it was nice to be so close to my party. The room I shared with my girlfriend Sheri was just the right size. It wasn't always peaceful.
I remember the time iGor, our golem fighter, had a glitch in its enchantment.
I remember the time I caught Maris, our thief, stealing from me.
