Now Rove’s Crossroads is back with another ad that does pretty much the same thing, this one hitting Senator Kay Hagan in North Carolina over Social Security’s retirement age. The spot, which is backed by more than $1 million, says Hagan is a “big believer” in a “controversial plan” that “raises the retirement age,” while the words “raises Social Security retirement age” flash on the screen. It also claims the plan Hagan supports “increases out-of-pocket Medicare costs.”

You know, I understand that a cynical, hackish fuckface like Karl Rove would use whatever argument he can to help get votes, even if it means attacking your own policies. But I'm truly curious to see how rank and file Republicans who see poo poo like this feel.

Imagine if Obama was at a rally and he told the audience that the Republicans are trying to tax the wealthy in the hopes that they would get angry. I wouldn't think any sentient being who knows what Obama and the Democrats support when it comes to economic policy, would be fooled into supporting the rich. Yet I never to this day have seen a single Republican step back and go "hey, wait a minute..." every time Rove/Romney/Ryan/etc. pulled this sort of up is down, black is white, reality bending crap.

Many states still don't have necrophilia and bestiality laws. Kansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and North Carolina still don't have necrophilia laws.

Nevada, Wyoming, New Mexico, Texas, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio, New Jersey, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Vermont: all states that don't have laws against bestiality. And of course Washington didn't have any bestiality laws until after a certain famous horsefucking video.

I'm pretty sure the good ol' farmboys are aware of bestiality. I do note that just about all states have animal cruelty laws. So obviously if you hurt an animal while fuckin' you can expect yourself some jail time for that.

Google Mr Hands. A Boening engineer had a farm in Washington state where he let animals gently caress him in the rear end (he later died of injuries suffered when he let a horse gently caress him rectally)

See the thing is he'd done that multiple times and didn't die or even get seriously injured. That's what the video of him around the internet shows, one of the cases where he straight up has a horse dick in his rear end and then the horse cums in him - he was ok after that.

Though I'm sure his fellow engineers would see him acting a little disheveled when he came back to work the day after one of those.

No, I get that, like I said it sounds horrible even if you don't get injured. I mean, horses don't even understand safe words.

No, the prognosis is not good with acute peritonitis unless it happens in the hospital or you've got something quickly correctable through surgery like appendicitis. Basically, peritonitis is an excellent way to die of infection/sepsis in the hospital or on your couch or bathroom floor.

It's possible they don't outlaw it because they are former practitioners.

quote:

In the course of the interview, however, Colmes asked Horsley about his background, including a statement that he had admitted to engaging in homosexual and bestiality sex. Updated with audio!

At first, Horsley laughed and said, "Just because it's printed in the media, people jump to believe it."

"Is it true?" Colmes asked.

"Hey, Alan, if you want to accuse me of having sex when I was a fool, I did everything that crossed my mind that looked like I..."

AC: "You had sex with animals?"

NH: "Absolutely. I was a fool. When you grow up on a farm in Georgia, your first girlfriend is a mule."

AC: "I'm not so sure that that is so."

NH: "You didn't grow up on a farm in Georgia, did you?"

AC: "Are you suggesting that everybody who grows up on a farm in Georgia has a mule as a girlfriend?"

NH: It has historically been the case. You people are so far removed from the reality... Welcome to domestic life on the farm..."

Colmes said he thought there were a lot of people in the audience who grew up on farms, are living on farms now, raising kids on farms and "and I don't think they are dating Elsie right now. You know what I'm saying?"

Horsley said, "You experiment with anything that moves when you are growing up sexually. You're naive. You know better than that... If it's warm and it's damp and it vibrates you might in fact have sex with it."

Granted the guy has not actually held elected office and I think was running under a third party, but still funny and slightly more on topic.

Yeah there wasn't a lot of reaction beyond a few of the "serious" conservative pundits when they did this in 2010 and I would guess there will be even less acknowledgement among conservatives this time. It didn't make it into the standard 2010 midterms story for some reason but scaring people about medicare was almost their only winning issue. Voters won't have learned any lessons on this but maybe a few of the Democratic candidates and organizations have.

Either you or I have this very wrong. Mr Hands was fine, he was the guy who owned the farm and paid people for services with his horses. The guy in the video was not alright, that was the instance where something went wrong (namely, Mr. Hands didn't hold on and keep the horse from lethally impaling one of his customers).

Edit2: Looking deeper into the issue there was apparently a documentary that would sort all this out. Good to know, probably worth watching for the cultural irrelevance.
