A lot of people take rap way too seriously. But it's not always like that. Which reminds me of something else from 10 years ago... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olZgD3F8WLk Ahh the good 'ol days of hyphy, when you either loved that poo poo and had tons of fun, or hated it and went into convulsions while bleeding from the ears if you heard it (which funnily enough, would be a legit way to dance to hyphy music).

Apropos of nothing; I listened to Liquid Swords again for the first time in like 5 years. That entire album is pristine start to finish. I used to listen to this thing start to finish like every commute back in '09 ugh it's so good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MO1Tmr5S2BQ

DJ Mustard is so predictable, I'm shocked how he's the go-to guy right now. His music is unrepentant club fair. Club hiphop is starting to get like dancehall in how people aren't using the same beats but they sound like the exact same beats. I enjoy finding what's different between DJ Mustard songs. Big Sean is the most unneeded rapper in the business.

french montana no question. at least big sean has the ability to occasionally make interesting music (and I would argue detroit is legitimately a good mix tape) example: good big sean song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiYr95sI1rk i have yet to find the mythical song that french montana does anything interesting in beyond riding a good beat edit; also the legion of random terrible frat rappers that thankfully are never brought up in here but my friends seem to love. warning: this song is terrible http://youtu.be/SwkPcFW1xFM
