Decidedly pleasant, style for days, and Cocona and Papika are already very endearing together, but I'm still not at all sure where it's coming from or where it's going, thematically. Girlish Number was a lot more sarcastic than i expected. On the spectrum from Shirobako to Sore ga Seiyuu, it's definitely more on the Shirobako side.

I really like all the snow backgrounds, especially in those low level shots were 90% of the screen is sky and the characters are staged against that dark blue

pay attention to their world, because you'll notice Pure Illusion is comprised of parallel worlds. Like when they first come out of the snow world and emerge from the forest in the same clearing that led Cocona to Papika.

Girlish Number raws out. the characters are all huge jerks, the ln author is kind of a creep, and someone has a big speech about how light novels suck. 10/10. Very much like what you'd expect from the snafu author writing a show about seiyuu.

I like the ED for flip flappers, reminiscent of Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita. Show itself is pretty good, too. Just very high energy and absurd, just what I would have wanted from it. As for Yuri on Ice... it has real potential, but I didn't really have the sort of amazing cathartic experience with it other people are describing. That might be Comcast's fault, though, since they seem to hate Crunchyroll in my area and I might not have gotten the full benefit of the animation effort. EDIT: Am I the only person who watched Cheating Craft? First episode didn't reveal much about the plot of the show going forward, but I'm going to give it at least one more episode.
