Seahawks, while I love Seattle I will always love the Raiders as well and even though I live in Washington state I owned Raiders apparel before I got anything Seahawks. For years a Raiders/Seahawks Superbowl has been on my wishlist and I can't believe that this might be the year it actually happens. Even though I will be rooting for the Seahawks to win if it is a good game I will not be unhappy with a Raiders Championship. Lol gently caress the Raiders and they aren't going to the SB

I was expecting 7-9, 8-8 and maybe a super bowl during the Derek Carr era coming into the season. Those expectations have shot up a bunch, so it's almost impossible for me to be upset with this season. The only thing that would do it is losing to the pats in the afc championship on a horse poo poo call.

Volkerball posted:Careful. In a year or two you'll be a raider fan. I mean, 49ers fans have reason to be pessimistic after a promising few seasons. I met a traveller from an antique land Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. Near them on the sand, Half sunk, a shatter'd visage lies, whose frown And wrinkled lip and sneer of cold command Tell that its sculptor well those passions read Which yet survive, stamp'd on these lifeless things, The hand that mock'd them and the heart that fed. And on the pedestal these words appear: "My name is Kellymandias, king of kings: Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!" Nothing beside remains: round the decay Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare, The lone and level sands stretch far away.

I watched the super bowl on a dial television with rabbit ears as a starry eyed 13 year old. I remember it got so bad that I had to change the channel. Then I'd just pace the room trying to pretend the game wasn't going on. When I'd finally cave and change it back, the Raiders would be doing something good. Maybe they scored, or they were driving. No sooner would I start watching than there would be an interception or something horrible. It was really traumatizing. I felt like it was my fault. For years I thought if I hadn't watched the game we might have won.
