Hot dang Jack B. Nimble screwed up, got last place in my race 5 win (probably wiped out), leaving him in 3rd overall and me with a huge buffer of 15 points separating my score with the new runner up. I might genuinely be able to squeak by with 2nd and 3rd place finishes for the remainder. Finally gonna get those unlimited VR plays.

I wonder what's the deal with the numbers 5, 6, and 2 are and why rolling them in that sequence turns on Koro-nyan mode.History Comes Inside! posted:Godspeed. I already gave up because I'm old and slow of reaction, the champion races are the most bullshit thing in the game. I'm not going to lie, it's kind of nuts how little room for error the Champion League has compared to Expert. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCKhlbmRuME Basically practiced following this guy's routes and my lap times were still on average 5-6 secs slower than the video's. It feels like the ai racers gently caress up as much as you do in tight turns so the really tricky courses feel like a case of trying to screw up less. Now the relatively easier courses, the ai doesn't make any mistakes so you just want to shave as many half-seconds off your time as you can by hugging corners and exploiting the fact that the ai will always try to follow the arrows when you don't necessarily have to. Individual races were close-ran things, but eventually I save-scummed enough winning races, and my ai rivals (mostly Jack and King what's his name) hosed up enough times that I literally DQ'd from damage in the last race and still won the GP.

Man, the AI is just superbad at poker in this game, isnt it? They bluff almost all the time, and from the moment they have one pair, even if it is low and there are better hands possible, they just raise and raise.

It's in a safe and you have to beat the course to get it my favorite interaction between Yagami and an NPC was when they were talking about a turf war within the Tojo Clan and it went something like this: NPC: "there's a lot of fighting in the Tojo Clan these days. Do you think that happens often?" Yagami: "Probably not." it's like... you don't even know the half of it 😂

I keep getting gift packs in the bin outside the office but can't figure out what they're actually giving me. I recall the ones in previous games telling you what was inside but I never get anything like that with these.

Anyone have any advice for the arcade games? Puyo Puyo in particular whoops my rear end and laughs at me in weeb. Got to Chapter 2 and the side missions. Beat up a stalker and tracked down a Panty Professor and proceeding to beat his bloomer-boosted backside

J.A.B.C. posted:Anyone have any advice for the arcade games? Puyo Puyo in particular whoops my rear end and laughs at me in weeb. What I learned and did the Puyo Puyo challenges with is called Pillar Strategy. Start by piling up all your puyos on the right side of the screen, make three rows worth of them stacked to the top then start completing the puyos you stacked up together. Whenever one of the three rows isn't touching the top, keep filling it with puyos until it does or is as close as you can get. The idea is that you complete one and they all fall down and start creating multiple chains of puyos to avalanche the opponent with garbage. It's RNG-based so it's not perfect but after a couple hours I managed to get a 40-something win streak with this tactic. Use the analog stick, as it moves puyos faster than the D-pad.

E: Chap 10 spoilers Yo that was a stone cold moment when Yagami pulled the trigger. Both he and Hamura knew Hamura would've been a dead man if Matsugane hadn't palmed the ammo from the gun before handing it to Yagami. Runa fucked around with this message at 06:47 on Jul 5, 2019 |

Chap 11 spoilers: I'm glad I was paying attention to the hint to the Mole's identity when it was pointed out how suspicious it was that Ayabe was being kept on a short leash after he was knocked out, for the duration of the frame job, since the police seemed to act as if they knew Shintani was dead long before his body was found. So the reveal that the Mole was Kuroiwa this entire time was, rather than a surprise, a moment of quiet vindication. Also I was not expecting to at any point start to feel sorry for that jackass Hamura but Matsugane made sure I would. I don't think Hamura's going to live much longer either, saving him from Kuroiwa now only means he'll get offed later

Chap 12 spoilers: So Sugiura actually being named Terasawa wasn't something I'd called ahead of time, since the pin only dropped for me seconds before he revealed the truth but in retrospect the writers left a fair bit of foreshadowing about it hadn't they There was only one murder case he was visibly emotionally invested in and it wasn't Shintani's.

Is there an easy way to loose HP in judgement? I've exploited the blackjack trick for a ton of cash and now want to convert that into SP via Hug Bombs, but they heal me too much and don't let me use them when I'm at max health. Alternatively, is there another way to turn cash into SP? edit: answering my own drat question - I figured out you can just get into a fight and use them to heal the damage of a single hit. Would still be interested to know if anyone has a better way of turning cash into SP though. Digital Osmosis fucked around with this message at 16:22 on Jul 5, 2019 |
