Valve seemed to nail everything, like how to properly tell a story in first person. Then they decided they had nailed enough, and we'll get nothing more than TF2 hats.

I think if they release Half-Life 3 it's not going to be able to live up to expectations at all but still be a pretty solid game, because Valve is solid at the game making dealie. It's not like there are a lot of other really good story driven FPS games around to compete with it

Plus you would always arrive just after the hero had killed everything in the room so there was nothing for you to do but to just move on to the next room.
