if you think about it talking is just slowed down tuneless singing, so you should probly cut off your ears and tape over the holes OP

Please don't be mad. quote="detectivemonkey" post="446899557"] Please post a recording of you singing a better song than All About That Bass. [/quote] I'd just say it, if I wanted to tell anyone that I was all about the bass, 'bout the bass, 'bout the bass.... no treble

Whether God is great, or the folly of man. The faithful and the fools all have the same plan. Wait for something to happen so they don't have to act. Cowards and zealots running in the same pack. -lyrics

Rondette posted:Do you know what, I actually find listening to music with foreign lyrics great when I need to do some work. Me too, because then I don't get distracted by the lyrics. If a song has awesome lyrics or terrible lyrics, I still get distracted by them. If I can't understand the words, then the voice is purely another instrument and then I can enjoy the music without also having to process the language.

The human voice is the original musical instrument and can be very expressive and depending on the singer(s), can produce a wide range of pitch, tone and harmony. I don't get into a lot of pop music but I do appreciate the voice.

I only listen to traditional Mongolian Throat Singing and Murinkhoor instrumentals. I've never been happier. I'm way happier than OP ever will be.

Try this, the speech gets turned into music, it's pretty cool (and hard to explain)- the cadence of the way the people are speaking becomes the tune. The Speech Project https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfcmugvDd-c

You probably find processing all that linguistic stimulation stressful for some reason and lyric less music sounds like a good choice.

It's possible to write cool things, and sometimes those things sound good over a saxophone. Think about it. But I don't listen to lyriced music when I'm doing something important either.

PT6A posted:Classical music can have lyrics, and it can be awesome. Beethoven's 9th has lyrics through some parts, as does Handel's Messiah. Classical music is very awesome with or without lyrics, as is non-classical music. I agree with this post except handel is baroque, but if you mentioned any of haydn's oratorios you would be on the money. Additionally, as far as strictly classical music with words go, you have all of Mozart's and Beethoven's and Rossini's operas, plus concert arias and art songs, esp. Schuberts.

I have a hard time paying attention to whatever the gently caress most songs are supposed to be about anyhow, but I greatly enjoy the audial qualities of the singing itself.
