Okay Cat I know this is going to the most American thing you hear all day but ever since I started watching MCM Moog's face just seems "off" to me. Then I finally figured out what bothered me about him. He's got high cheekbones and his cheeks sink in on the side of his face. When he talks his lips pull back from his teeth a lot. Couple this with somewhat sunken eyes annddd... Yeah Moog looks like dead. I hang out with Triathletes and cyclists. He's frankly fat compared to some of them - there is absolutly nothing wrong with him at all. GG he's just a fit man who watches what he eats.

What's going on here?? Greatly enjoyed that film. John Wick is one the best action movies, full stop. The touches like Wick actually runs out of bullets / reloads, double tap etc.... just rolls into one amazingly well executed movie. Keanu's lack of expression changes also sells Wick as this unstoppable force of nature. It's much like Arnold playing the original Terminator - the lack of emotional range sells the concept rather than detracts.

Yes, but about 5 minutes later you're cheering for the hellish shitfest Wick rains down and it doesnt matter anymore. TBH it's the basest of audience manipulation and normally that's stupid. Not in this case - in John Wick it's simple and it puts you square in Wicks corner in lusting for bullet flying revenge. There's simple and then there's well executed. Wick is one of the truly rare examples of when both happen.

Whomever said politicans should be burned - too good for them. Especially politicans that suck on Murdoch cock. Send the lot to ISIS so they can have fun with them, they are doing more damage to democracythn any terrorist ever could. Mat_Drinks posted:For some reason I find it really interesting/weird that the universal healthcare in Australia is called Medicare. Looks like it was changed to that in '84 and came after the US Medicare, which is our coverage for old people (and some disabled/exceptions). It goes back a bit further. The Whitlam govt in the early 70's was without a doubt true socialist and bought in a huge swath of public programs (free education, free hospitals etc) - the medical one was called Medibank. In 1976 the Fraser Govt (Right wing cunts) spun off a private health cover company called Medibank Private and then in 1981 closed the public scheme. The less socialist and more market based Hawke Govt very quickly returned a public scheme but this time called Medicare in 1984, but also continued to run an own Medibank Private to help keep the private insurers in line. Medicare doesnt cover a few things like dental and queue jumping for elective surgery in private hospitals but if you have a horrible accident you basically get cared without charge. Pretty much in general tho, you need health services, free with your Medicare card. We now also have rolling out a National Disability Insurance Scheme where disabled persons are now completely covered for literally any service that traditional health cover public or private will not cover. The other thing that can be a issue is emergency transport. This isnt covered well by either private or public - A helicopter ride to ER for instance could give you a nasty bill shock. I think this was always a deliberate hole in coverage by the Hawke Govt to give some value to private health cover, that and dental. Thence it's not perfect (no system is) but it's still quite good, especially the emerging NDIS and the PBS (Pharmasudical Benefits Scheme, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pharmaceutical_Benefits_Scheme ). So good that much like Canada, if a right wing oval office tried to gently caress with it the voters WILL come after them with cricket bats. We know what the USA has and gently caress that.

There's not much out there anymore that are built indestructible like a HP 4L printer is or some of our Canon faxes that are basically now black after years of poo poo flying everywhere close to it.

RIP Paul Walker posted:I specifically said it wasn't his *fault*, but that he didn't seem to be paying much attention, just hauling rear end... Which is utterly dumb when there are all those moron drivers on the road! Cyclists seem to have far too much faith that cagers aren't out to get them, and that bugs me as both a (lovely, slow) cyclist and a driver. I hope you understand what I'm saying here. Yes I do and that's why I am calling you a loving moron because quite clearly he WAS paying attention - If he wasn't paying attention he would have been under a big rear end truck or on his rear end with the imprint of a Corolla's door handle in his rear end. You are straight up victim blaming. He didnt do a single bloody thing wrong and yet you just drop stupidity about "not paying attention" and "jackasses" I'm a 80km a day kind of cyclist and frankly if I had a Go-Pro I'd have plenty of footage like this. Like yesterday a Vespa rider without indicating cut straight across a bike path without indicating and wondered why I'm having a screaming fit after I juuuust manage to dodge her stupid rear end. Mate, you do not survive as a cyclist without paying attention and most cyclists who get hit simply put are doing their best to avoid said accident. Cars move much faster than you can so if some iPhone wearing idiot swerves into your lane, you better hope the Lord is looking after you.
