I think it's weird when games only award points in multiples of ten, or five or a hundred. Pinball I'm looking at you. Why even have those extra zeroes on your scoreboard? what a waste of orders of magnitude.

By accumulating points toward our high score, we give them a meaningful existence. So I think the more important question is not so much what they are as why they are gathering and what will happen when there are enough of them...
