Well, since I have Edgar, Vivi, Terra and a bunch of other cool dudes who didn't make the tier list posted but who DID make the ranked list in the wiki, I'm gonna save myself the headache and keep on keepin' on. Besides, I have cool Goon friends who will let me borrow their overpowered monstrosities until mine are overpowered monstrosities!  Friend code is 634,188,308, added it to the Google doc. I'm surprised that there are so many potions that require the Drink skill and only one character, Mel, who has the skill and that only as a Trust Mastery. Are more alchemists on the way, maybe, or will the skill become craftable?

What I'm saying is, if you only get one or two decent drops from the Fun Time Character Machine, the guaranteed ones the game gives you are okay and fairly easy to get up to at least 4 stars.

Just awoke my entire team to four stars. Gotta grind them back up for 5 now. Shouldn't take too long. Beat all current story content, was mopping up quests before I couldn't take not being Woke. This game is pretty fun, y'all. All you need is one fairly good pull and your goonpatriots can carry you till you can make it on your own.

I cleared out about ten inactive friend requests from the beginning of the month. One pending for an active poster here, hint hint. May I present Level 80 Golbez, the Tankiest of Mages. He shall not fail you.  My A-team (Rain, Lasswell, Fina, Terra, Golbez) is all 5 stars, though Golbez is the only one at 80 just yet, and Vivi is maxed out. Getting to Cactaur-work on Kefka, Vaan... and Gilbert. I like Gilbert. He is a bard. I like bards, even if they're spoony. Especially if they're spoony. Seriously though he can cause a lot of status effects and he's no. 4 on the current ranked support character list on the wiki.

Always. Be. Leveling. When a dude hits his current cap and cannot be awoken further, level someone else up in their place. Keep a Colosseum/Boss team in one of your slots to handle those things.

If you're a "reroll until you have the perfect team" sort, then no, no you can't get anything good from friend point summons. You can beat the current single player content with properly leveled FP characters. (Plus, Rain, Lasswell and Fina are all "good" characters.) You probably won't be able to sleepwalk through things, though. And you won't be getting any characters from the console Final Fantasies, if that's what you're asking. If you currently have a workable team, then yes, save your friend points for a while. Not sure what the max number of friend points is, worry about that when you hit it, it's not like they're a finite resource.

The Healing Staff is quite good. It gives anyone with the ability to use staves access to Cura, which can be handy in a pinch if you've only got the one healer and she's busy with Cheer. Third time: what are the maximum number of crafting slots?
